According to KING5, the blaze consumed a shed and vehicle trailer near 164th Avenue SE and SE 311th Street, just east of Pacific Raceways. The severity of the fire seemed to quickly escalate earlier in the day, compelling Zone 3 Public Information Officer to initially report an estimated spread over 45 acres. However, an updated assessment later narrowed the fire down to a more contained four to five acres. Despite the downgrade in its estimated size, effort to fully extinguish the fire were expected to stretch into the evening, with firefighters to tirelessly work on dousing any lingering hotspots, as shared by Eric Autry, a Public Information Officer for Mountainview Fire District, in a statement obtained by KIRO7.

Local traffic was affected due to the emergency response with drivers urged to find alternative routes to avoid hindering the firefighting efforts. This advisory was part of the effort to ensure that fire crews could access all sides of the fire, a critical element in quickly containing the blaze. "Luckily we had no structure loss, there was a small shed and a trailer that burned but the fire was kinda contained to this easement it did get into some timber on the edges of this, but it was quickly contained," Autry said.
