According to the City of Fort Collins, at around 8:30 P.M., police were alerted to the violence that erupted following an argument between a man and a woman who were acquainted and staying at a motorhome in the park's parking lot. In the chaos that ensued, the woman reportedly chased the man with a firearm, discharging multiple rounds in his direction. Despite the potential peril, the man miraculously escaped unscathed.

During their preliminary assessment, police found that one of the shots had struck a tent, which fortunately was not the cause for any injuries to its occupants. "The quick response and apprehension of this suspect certainly helped prevent injuries and further damage from this reckless firing of rounds.
