Attention Faribault families: it's time to double-check those car seats. Following a recent event where families benefitted from free car seat checkups, and some lucky enough to leave with new seats for their youngsters, another opportunity is on the horizon. The Car Seat Checkup, coordinated by Rice County Public Health, offers security for parents and protection for children, as reported by Rice County Minnesota.
The initiative, which took place on July 29, saw five child passenger safety technicians assisting a dozen families. These professionals inspected car seats for correct installation and fit, and to ensure they had not expired, as per Rice County Minnesota. The service comes with a reminder that growing children and evolving safety standards mean vigilance is key – a reality, perhaps, not all parents are consistently aware of.
The next Car Seat Checkup event is scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 14, between 6:30-8 p.m. at Jefferson Elementary School, located at 922 Home Place, Faribault, as detailed by Rice County Minnesota.
