Houston is getting a jolt of European café culture as Germany's Coffee Fellows announces the addition of four new locations to its local lineup. Already operating in Katy and Bellaire, the chain known for its sustainable coffee and European ambiance is expanding its footprint, which will bring the total number of Houston-area outposts to six. According to Eater Houston, patrons can expect the new branches to open over the coming months, with the first on Eldridge Parkway in the Memorial area slated for a September launch, followed by additional locations in Katy and Cypress, and a drive-thru kiosk planned for Pearland next year.

True to its claim of offering a second living room, Coffee Fellows beckons with promises of handmade coffees, teas, smoothies, and a selection of eats including bagel sandwiches, pastries, and salads served on china for that homey touch. Adding to the comfort are perks like high-speed Wi-Fi, wireless phone chargers, and seating engineered for both work and relaxation purposes. As revealed by CultureMap Houston, this expansion will include a mix of traditional cafes and convenient mobile pick-up kiosks to serve a diverse clientele.

Founded in Munich in 1999, Coffee Fellows has earned its stripes by serving sustainably-sourced beverages alongside a hearty food menu. With more than 200 locations across Europe and Mongolia, its entry into the U.S. market has proven successful. Daniel Ogbonna, CEO of Coffee Fellows’s North America division, conveyed the company's ethos, stating, "Our 'Feel at Home' promise is at the heart of everything we do," as reported by CultureMap Houston. "We aim to provide a second living room where our guests become our family."

Coffee Fellows's newcomers will feature options for patronage on-the-go as well as sit-down dining experiences. Dog-friendly patios cater to the four-legged friends, embracing communal vibes synonymous with European coffee culture. These establishments provide remote workers with the connectivity they need, replete with fast, free wifi and plenty of outlets, noted by Eater Houston. Completing its customer-centric approach, the chain offers alternative milk options for no extra cost, signaling an inclusive mentality toward dietary preferences and needs.

The dates for the opening of the Cypress and Pearland kiosks are yet to be announced. "The coffee shop aims to make guests feel as though they are sipping coffee in a “second living room” with food and beverages served on china and an accommodating menu that includes alternatives to dairy milk,'" Daniel Ogbonna told Eater Houston.
