Los Angeles General Medical Center is reaching out to the public for help in identifying a patient who has been under their care since mid-August. The individual, a man believed to be around 55 years old, was found unresponsive at the corner of Slauson Avenue and Wall Street in South Los Angeles. As of yet, he remains unidentified, and the hospital is seeking any information that might connect him back to his community and loved ones.
The hospital describes him as a male with a medium build, standing 5'8" tall and weighing 167 pounds. He has brown eyes, a salt-and-pepper-colored beard, and a shaved head, a requirement owing to an injury. Those with potentially helpful information are encouraged to urgently reach out to the Social Work Department at Los Angeles General Medical Center. Nicole Crayon and Jessica Barahona, both clinical social workers, are available at varying hours throughout the week to field inquiries regarding this case.
According to the hospital's statement, Nicole Crayon can be contacted on Wednesday through Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at 323-409-3877. For those available on the remaining days of the week, Jessica Barahona will be at your disposal from Sunday through Wednesday during the same hours at 323-409-3758. For contact outside these specified times, the Department of Emergency Medicine's Social Work Department can be reached at 323-409-6883.
The hospital's request has been widely circulated on various media platforms, hoping that someone might recognize the patient and come forward with vital information. Further details about the patient and how to contact the social workers can be found in Los Angeles County's bulletin.
