A man was arrested and placed behind bars after allegedly causing a ruckus by placing a hoax bomb on a Houston roadway. Reports indicate that on Friday, authorities were alerted to a suspicious object in the median of the 4700 block of FM 2920, which led to a substantial joint-agency operation to secure the area. The agencies involved included the Harris County Sheriff's Office Bomb Squad, ATF, and others. The item in question was eventually deemed non-explosive, yet it had already disrupted traffic and local business activity for around four hours.

Travis Alexander was identified by constable investigators as the suspect who intentionally placed the dubious item, after examining security footage from the vicinity. A warrant was subsequently filed for his arrest. Yesterday, according to Constable Mark Herman's Office, Alexander was located and apprehended at a residence on E Cricket Circle.

Law enforcement took Alexander into custody without further incident, and he now faces charges pertaining to the hoax bomb incident. As per the authorities, "Travis Alexander was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Hoax Bomb. His bond is set at $100.00 out of County Court 14," as detailed by Constable Mark Herman Facebook post.

The motives behind Alexander's actions remain unclear.
