A Kissimmee woman is facing federal charges involving child sexual abuse material (CSAM), following an indictment. Jessica Corin Mangano, 34, from St. Cloud has been charged with two counts of distributing, two counts of receiving, and one count of possessing CSAM, the U.S. Attorney's Office reported.
If convicted on these charges, Mangano could be looking at a minimum mandatory sentence of 5 years, and up to 20 years, in federal prison for each count of distribution and receipt of CSAM. The possession charge also carries a potential 20-year sentence. The announcement made by United States Attorney Roger B. Handberg noted that the indictment is not evidence of guilt, as every defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
The indictment alleges that on July 2, Mangano distributed multiple videos containing CSAM. Additional charges stem from incidents on July 14 and August 2 where she allegedly received videos containing such material. On August 15, Mangano reportedly possessed CSAM that involved very young victims, including one who had not attained 12 years of age.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office conducted the inquiry leading to Mangano’s indictment, with Assistant United States Attorney Kaley Austin-Aronson at the helm of the prosecution.
