A tragic incident unfolded at a Walmart in Lake Elsinore, where a woman was fatally stabbed on Monday morning. According to a report by KTLA, deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the 29000 block of Central Avenue upon receiving a report of an assault with a deadly weapon around 7:00 A.M.
Upon their arrival, witnesses reported seeing the victim being stabbed by a Black man, as the assault took place, deputies and first responders tended to the woman providing medical aid however, she was pronounced deceased at the scene. The location of the attack, either inside or outside the Walmart Supercenter was not clarified immediately by officials. A man was arrested following the attack, details regarding his identity have not been released as the case is still under investigation and details continue to surface.
ABC7 confirmed the stabbing occurred inside the store, adding to the details of the event. Medical personnel responded promptly, but despite their efforts, the woman's life could not be saved.
