Early in the dark hours of this morning, the Los Angeles Fire Department battled a structure fire at a commercial building in Van Nuys, extinguishing flames that had erupted through the rooftop. At approximately 1:33 AM, firefighters were dispatched to 16117 W Leadwell St, where they encountered a one-story building, identified as DVH Circuits, visibly ablaze from the exterior, according to the LAFD website.
The fire crews swiftly launched an offensive attack, navigating the dense smoke and intense heat to pinpoint the source of the fire located within a mezzanine office, and systematically extinguishing the heart of the inferno; simultaneously, their team counteracted residual surface flames that had claimed the roof while preventing further damage to the surrounding structures, all this information was relayed to the public by the Los Angeles Fire Department. The 9-1-1 call logged slightly before the stroke of 1 AM, unfolded into a nocturnal sprint against the devouring element that respects neither time nor toil, as per the LAFD.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported in the ordeal, and the fire department's prompt and effective response averred a larger catastrophe, as detailed by the LAFD.
