A routine traffic stop led to the arrest of a 19-year-old Los Angeles resident on Wednesday, after San Bernardino County Sheriff's deputies discovered he was driving a stolen vehicle, as reported by the Colorado River Sheriff's Department.
The incident occurred in the morning near the 1900 block of Needles Hwy in Needles, California, when authorities pulled over Kevin Luna, the accused, for an unspecified traffic violation, deputies stumbled upon a more severe crime, finding that Luna was allegedly in possession of a stolen car which resulted in his apprehension based on the violation of PC 496D(A), as per the Colorado River Sheriff's Department.
Luna was subsequently booked at the Colorado River Station jail, with bail set at $30,000.00, and is currently awaiting a court hearing, according to the official press release available on the sheriff's department website.
