Philadelphia's Kensington neighborhood was the scene of a violent family dispute ended with a man being shot multiple times. Yesterday night, around 8:30 p.m., police discovered a 28-year-old man with five gunshot wounds on the 600 block of East Cornwall Street, he was promptly taken to a local hospital and is currently in critical condition, as FOX 29 reports.
According to the same report, a suspect was arrested at the scene, and investigators managed to recover a weapon, although the police have yet to release any detailed account of the events leading to the shooting. According to 6ABC, the victim's brother, a 24-year-old male, as the shooter who remained at the scene and is now in police custody, the exact reasoning behind their confrontation is unclear, with authorities withholding the specifics for the time being.
The emergency response led to the victim being rushed to Temple University Hospital, as noted by PHL17's coverage of the incident which aired on Action News at 10.
