The Culver City Police Department is on the lookout for the assailant, who is currently at large. The attack unfolded near the 2900 block of La Cienega Boulevard, leading the victim to flee to safety and seek help from a bystander who then alerted the authorities, according to the Culver City Police Department.

The suspect, who remains unidentified and escaped post-assault, is described as a Hispanic male approximated to be between 30-40 years old. He is reportedly a familiar face in the neighborhood. The victim, whose identity hasn't been released, sustained a severe wound, "an approximately four-inch-deep laceration," that required immediate medical attention. Bleeding and in shock, the victim was discovered by the Culver City Police shortly after the incident. Culver City Fire personnel treated him at the scene before transporting him to a local hospital, detailed the official report.
