The TASB's Superintendent of the Year award, now in its fourth decade, seeks to honor transformative leadership in education, this year's finalists from schools ranging in size from as few as 900 to over 35,000 students are stepping up to the proverbial plate, the candidates underwent a rigorous selection process by school board members who assessed their contributions in multiple arenas including student outcomes team-of-eight relationships fiscal management, advocacy, and innovation in education—all these aspects led to their current standing in the competition.
