An unusual discovery has been made in the waters of Eagle Lake, where Maple Grove authorities have reported abandoned property found near the boat launch on Magda Drive. According to a brief statement from the Maple Grove Police Department's Facebook page, local police are handling the situation with assistance from the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office Water Patrol.
While the specifics of the property found have not been disclosed, officials have been quick to reassure residents. "There is no danger to the community," the police department's social media update stated, seeking to ease any potential public concern following the discovery. The incident has prompted a response from both local and county units, the latter offering their expertise in water-related incidents, it has not been indicated if the abandoned property poses any environmental threat.
While the presence of law enforcement and county water patrol units in a residential area can be unsettling, the Maple Grove Police Department has not indicated that there is an ongoing investigation aside from recovering the property. As such, they have not asked for any information from the public, nor have they provided details on what the property might consist of.
