The Metropolitan Police Department is currently investigating a deadly shooting that took place in Southeast Washington, D.C. The incident, which occurred on the evening of August 28, claimed the life of 31-year-old Kwesi Miller, who authorities say was homeless at the time of his death.
According to reports from MPD, officers were called to the 5000 block of H Street, Southeast around 6:58 p.m. on Wednesday after receiving reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they found an adult male — later identified as Miller — unconscious and not breathing, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the emergency response and efforts to save him, Miller was pronounced dead at the local hospital.
The police have appealed to the public, urging anyone with information regarding this incident to come forward.
