
Authorities are currently searching for a vehicle related to a recent weapons offense. Officials are appealing for public assistance after an incident on August 6 left two individuals shaken but unharmed. The victims were reportedly in a parked vehicle in the 4600 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, Southwest, when another vehicle drove by and opened fire around 7:15 p.m. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported during the assault, as confirmed by the Metropolitan Police Department.
According to a release posted on the Metropolitan Police Department's website, the suspected shooter fired numerous shots in the direction of the parked vehicle. The MPD has been actively investigating the circumstances surrounding this act of violence, and in an effort to apprehend the individual or individuals responsible.
The Metropolitan Police Department has not released a description of the suspect vehicle, but they urge anyone with information that could lead to the tracking down of the vehicle to come forward.
