
Authorities are on the lookout for individuals linked to a recent burglary in Northwest D.C. The Metropolitan Police Department is reaching out to the public, hoping to obtain assistance in identifying suspects behind the Burglary Two offense that took place on the 3400 block of Georgia Avenue.
The incident, which unfolded early on a Sunday morning, saw suspects forcefully gaining entry into an establishment. Once inside, they quickly proceeded to remove property before making their escape. In a notable effort to swiftly to apprehend these alleged criminals, MPD has turned to community members who might have valuable information. According to a release obtained by MPDC, the burglary occurred "at approximately 8:00 a.m., the suspects entered an establishment... once inside, the suspects took property and then fled the scene."
Ensuring the safety of the district is a priority, and the police are urging anyone with knowledge regarding the suspects to step forward. The department advises people not to approach or engage with the suspects, but instead immediately contact law enforcement with any information they may have.
There is an incentive for those who decide to help; MPD is offering up to $1,000 for tips leading to the arrest and indictment of those responsible for the crime.
