A Montgomery County resident faces charges linked to allegations of voter fraud spanning multiple elections. United States Attorney Jacqueline C. Romero revealed on Thursday that 62-year-old Philip C. Pulley, of Huntington Valley, Pennsylvania, has been officially charged with offenses including false voter registration, double voting, and other election fraud-related activities, according to a report by the Department of Justice.
The charges state that Pulley, while already on the voter rolls in Montgomery County, went ahead and registered in Broward County, Florida, in 2018. He didn't stop there, as in 2020, it's alleged that he also falsely registered in Philadelphia County using a fictitious Philadelphia address and a social security number not assigned to him. Pulley, accused of casting ballots in both Broward and Montgomery counties in the 2020 presidential election, seemingly pushed his luck further by voting in both Montgomery and Philadelphia counties for the 2022 U.S. Senate race. Such actions are, unquestionably, a breach of the fundamental trust in an equitable electoral process.
If Pulley is found guilty on each count, he may be looking at up to five years of imprisonment, as well as three years of supervised release, alongside substantial fines ranging from $10,000 to $250,000, plus a $100 special assessment. The investigation involving the FBI and the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office sends a clear message about the seriousness with which election integrity is taken. The case is being led by AUSAs Nancy E. Potts and Mark B. Dubnoff, with James Price, Senior Deputy Attorney General and Special Assistant U.S. Attorney, lending his expertise to the prosecution efforts.
