Last week, Ventura County saw its Sheriff's West County Special Enforcement Unit (WC-SEU) in action, leading to the arrest of a convicted felon for unlawful possession of an arsenal, which included several "ghost" guns. The suspect, identified as Arnoldo Garcia, a 32-year-old Moorpark resident, found himself once again on the wrong side of the law when detectives recovered an alarming number of firearms and ammunition from his residence, as reported by the Ventura County Sheriff's Office.

Following a meticulous investigation into Garcia's activities, the Sheriff's Office deployed its detectives from the WC-SEU and the Detention Services Classification Unit to execute a search warrant at Garcia's Simmons Way home, on August 2, around 9:50 PM, they didn't initially find Garcia at the property he arrived shortly after while driving his vehicle wherein they detained him and later discovered a semi-automatic "ghost" handgun inside his car, Garcia must now tread the precarious ground of legal proceedings once more, having been booked for several firearms violations although he was able to post bail and is waiting for his court date, according to the Ventura County Sheriff's Office.
