As the Minnesota State Fair quickly approaches, scheduled for August 22 through September 2, the Minnesota Valley Transit Authority (MVTA) is gearing up to provide direct bus service from three locations in the south metro area on all days of the event. Fairgoers looking to avoid the hassle of parking can take advantage of free parking at the park and rides, as detailed by the Scott County Minnesota.
With convenience considered a high priority, MVTA has ensured that attendees have the opportunity to not only save on the stress of finding parking but to also save some cash. A round-trip fare is a flat fee of $6, available through either the RideMVTA App or payable in exact cash when boarding. As per Scott County Minnesota, the service is set to begin running earlier from the Burnsville Transit Station, offering an even more flexible travel schedule for early risers or those looking to beat the crowds.
This move is a strategic one for the MVTA, as the Minnesota State Fair consistently draws large crowds each year. As such, the authority is clearly positioning itself as a go-to solution for efficient and cost-effective transportation. Children 4 and under ride for free, making this a family-friendly option as well, according to the Scott County Minnesota.
