
A fatal shooting has rocked the View Ridge neighborhood of North Seattle, where detectives are actively investigating a homicide that was reported yesterday afternoon. According to a press release from the Seattle Police Department, the incident took place in the 7200 block of Sand Point Way Northeast at approximately 2:43 p.m.
Upon arrival, police officers found an adult male with a life-threatening gunshot wound to the chest. First responders immediately tried to deliver medical aid, and the victim was eventually taken over by the Seattle Fire Department who continued the efforts. Unfortunately, despite these attempts to save his life, the male victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The police had to swiftly cordone off the area to allow detectives from the Homicide and Crime Scene Investigation Units to properly take over and to meticulously process the crime scene.
The press release noted that after the shooting, two suspects were seen fleeing in a vehicle. However, the suspects remain at large, as no arrests have been made thus far. Details on the circumstances surrounding the shooting have yet to surface as the investigation moves forward. The SPD's Homicide Unit is leading the investigation to find out what caused this tragic incident. The department urges anyone with information regarding the case to come forward.
