Northeast Ohio Readies for Gustatory Delight with Upcoming Taco & Tequila Festivals in ClevelandSource: T.Tseng, CC BY 2.0, via Wikimedia Commons

Hold onto your sombreros and lime wedges, Northeast Ohioans, because a feast for your taste buds is rolling into town. According to cleveland.com, a traveling Taco & Tequila festival is setting up shop at Crushers Stadium on October 5, from 4:30 to 8 p.m. If that's not enough to get your mouth watering, then the prospect of indulging in more than 50 different tacos and sipping on a similar number of tequila and margarita flavors might just do the trick.

But it doesn't end with the promise of good eats and potent drinks. The event promises a spectacle of entertainment including lucha libre wrestling, the skillful swirls of face painters, the smirk-inducing work of caricature artists, and a strolling magic show because why not? This festival seems to be all in on providing a thoroughly diverting weekend shindig.

Ticket holders can expect to receive sampling tokens for the food and tequila/drinks, a cup, and a lanyard, presumably to keep those sampling tokens handy. For those who want to kick off the festivities a bit earlier, VIP slots are available and allow entry at 3 p.m., plus a gift. I'm guessing it's not socks.

Before all of that, though, taco lovers in the area can look forward to the Cleveland Taco Fest, taking over downtown from Aug. 30 to Sept. 2., This savory shindig will unfold at Jacobs Pavilion, perched on the waterfront of the Cuyahoga River, right at the west bank of The Flats. AEG Presents, a name you'll recognize if you've ever been to a great show in this town, is behind the production, and says visitors can expect over 30 taquerias and eateries showing off their best, ice-cold margaritas, two stages for live entertainment, and "family-friendly competitions",  the nature of which remains as mysterious and exciting as a hidden taco filling. Additional specifics about the fest were detailed via WKYC.
