Orlando resident Delta Henry Rushing II, 29, faces serious federal charges after a grand jury indictment for allegedly enticing a minor to engage in sexual activity. The 29-year-old, who is also a convicted sex offender, could be staring down a minimum sentence of 20 years to life in prison if convicted on all counts, as reported by the Department of Justice.
Between November 3 and December 5 of last year, Rushing, apparently knew that the individual he enticed was underage, according to the indictment released on August 8th by United States Attorney Roger B. Handberg's office. The indictment as detailed by the Department of Justice, not only charges Rushing on two counts but also seeks forfeiture of any assets used to facilitate the criminal offenses.
Authorities, including Homeland Security Investigations and the Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation, have been critical in the investigation leading to this indictment. The case is set to be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Kaley Austin-Aronson.
