An Orlando man, 46-year-old Sean White, has been sentenced to a term of five years and five months in federal prison for his role in access device fraud and identity theft. The sentencing, handed down by U.S. District Judge Paul G. Byron, aligns with White's guilty plea on April 10 as per the U.S. Attorney's Office.

The fraud scheme, executed between January and March 2016 by White alongside accomplices Jamie Fort and Sena Howell, saw the trio targeting various financial institutions in the Orlando area. Utilizing stolen personal information – names, dates of birth, and Social Security numbers – they produced counterfeit Florida driver licenses. With these illicit IDs in hand, they managed to secure financing from federally insured banks to purchase luxury vehicles, including two Mercedes-Benz models and a Cadillac Escalade, later flipping these assets for cash.

The pursuit of justice against these fraudsters was a collaborative effort by the United States Secret Service, and the Orlando Police Department, and spearheaded by Assistant United States Attorneys Chauncey A. Bratt and Michael Sartoian.
