Officials report that after the assault on the platform, the man dragged the woman toward the nearby 210 Freeway. The suspect was later detained by Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies.
The violent encounter was described as unprovoked by Deputy Kari Mercer with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Transit Services Bureau, as stated in an interview with the Pasadena Star-News.
