If you've been feeling the pain of travel turmoil, Pennsylvania's got your back—or at least, a way to voice your frustration. The state Attorney General's office has unleashed a new online platform for travelers to report airline woes, a response to the surge in travel headaches, according to TribLIVE.
Whether it's a delayed flight, a complete cancellation, or some sort of boarding brawl, you can now take your grievances online. Attorney General Michelle Henry takes this step amid a "national uptick in consumer complaints," according to a report by TribLIVE. Residents of Pennsylvania and those just passing through dealing with airline, "issues", now have a form to fill out at their disposal.
The initiative, as reported by CBS Pittsburgh, requires your basic details—name, address, and contact information—and digs into the specifics of your issue, asking for the airline name, ticket number, and the details of the incident. So, if you're like the frustrated traveler Nikki Weiss who claimed, "I'm not leaving until I get refunded for all of my tickets," you now know where to direct that energy and possibly get some resolution.
Henry's office isn't flying solo on this, there's a partnership with the U.S. Department of Transportation involved. The alliance authorizes the Attorney General's Office to investigate, resolve complaints, and if needed, propel them to the DOT's Office of Aviation Consumer Protection for further action. "It is no longer a secret that Pennsylvanians and consumers across the country are finding less and less convenience when traveling by air," Henry said, per TribLIVE.
