Yesterday morning, Salisbury was shaken by a violent shooting that left one man dead and a child seriously injured. Police responded to a disturbance call at 128 Rowan Mill Road around 5:30 a.m., where they found a man fatally shot. The identity of the man has yet to be disclosed as the investigation continues. According to WCNC, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The violent episode extended to a child who was discovered to have been shot multiple times. Initial medical care was provided at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center, and due to the gravity of injuries, the child was swiftly transferred to another hospital, reported to now be in stable condition.
