San Antonio firefighters responded to two separate house fires in the late evening and early hours, bringing both under control with no reported injuries. The first incident occurred on the East Side around 11 p.m. yesterday, with flames emanating from a garage off Southton View near Sinclair Road. The fire was contained without spreading to the home, and no injuries were reported, as FOX San Antonio detailed.
Following the first response, crews were dispatched to a second blaze just before 1 a.m. today on the North Side, at a residence off Morning Creek near Thousand Oaks Drive. On arrival, they found flames shooting from a bedroom window, but the fire was rapidly extinguished. The property sustained approximately $40,000 in damages, and, the same cause was not immediately clear.
The Northeast-side incident was notably marked by the presence of a resident with a mental condition, emphasized in the report by KENS 5. Fortunately, despite the significant damage estimated to be around $40,000, there were no injuries reported at this scene either.
While the fires were quickly managed by the San Antonio Fire Department, the investigation into the causes remains ongoing.
