A Carmel Valley home on Nahama Lane was subjected to a blaze that initiated in the garage where a Tesla vehicle was parked. Reporting from the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department, cited by Times of San Diego, indicates that the fire crews were quickly deployed to the scene at 4:20 a.m. on Sunday.
The aggressive response by firefighters sought to control and eventually extinguish the fire. The blaze was vigorous enough to annihilate the garage and claim the electric vehicle within it. Additionally, flames leaped onto a nearby tree. They crept up the exterior wall to the second story of the residence, bringing a dense accumulation of smoke into the dwelling, as reported by OnScene.TV.
Particularly fortunate was the fact that all members of the household and their pets managed to vacate the premises safely, along with the neighbors. As the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department documented, the financial toll inflicted upon the structure is estimated at $500,000. At the same time, an equal sum is believed to represent the loss of the contents within the home.
An extensive assortment of 35 firefighting personnel was summoned to tackle the fire, including deploying resources such as trucks, a medic, and engines. A dedicated fire investigator was also dispatched to unravel the cause of the inferno. As of present information, it appears that no one was harmed during the incident. The dwelling's inhabitants, two adults, three children, and two pets, have been displaced due to the catastrophe. The exact cause of the fire remains under official investigation.
The family's immediate concern is finding a new residence while the investigation and clearing of the site continues.
