The City of San Luis has officially named Fernando Corona as its new Information Technology Manager, a move that was confirmed on May 17, 2024, following his interim stint since March when the previous manager left. Corona, who joined the City's ranks three years prior, has now been entrusted with reinforcing the strategic direction of San Luis's technological ambitions, ensuring that its IT operations are synergized with the broader city objectives — a responsibility he's accepted with both hands, having previously served with distinction in roles like IT Specialist and Network and Security Administrator.
Acting City Manager Jenny Torres, who has worked with Corona, extolled his virtues in a recent statement, lauding him as a cornerstone of San Luis's IT backbone for his expertise and unwavering commitment, noting that his "knowledgeable contributions have significantly improved the city’s technological infrastructure and ensured operational efficiency."
Taking the helm at a crucial juncture, Corona inherits a mantle heavy with expectation and opportunity, as he expressed in an official statement about his intentions to meet the city's technology needs with prompt and effective solutions, all while enhancing city operations and the bouquet of services offered to San Luis citizens.
