Currently held at Erie County Jail, Weaver's bond is set at $54,000 about several cases in Perkins Township, and there is the potential for additional charges to emerge, a fact referenced by the Perkins Township Police in a Facebook post that also expressed gratitude towards the community for providing video footage implicating Weaver; an important component to the case according to the authorities, Sandusky Register noted that Weaver has been booked under suspicion for his involvement in the break-ins and faces multiple theft charges. However, the exact count remains unspecified as the investigation unfolds.

The post articulated, "We are thankful and grateful how the community and neighborhoods helped out and supplied video footage that caught Weaver multiple times which will help make sure he is prosecuted to the full extent of the law", the department's dedicated detective Timothy Alexander Sr. was also hailed for his crucial role in piecing together the evidence, as per Perkins Township Police Department's Facebook page.
