Early this morning, the Santa Rosa Police Department made significant headway in a drug trafficking investigation that has been underway since June. Following an extensive examination of an organization suspected of distributing narcotics in the area, two suspects were apprehended. Identified as Juan Carlos Beltran-Granados and Belen Santos-Hernandez, this pair was discovered at a College Avenue residence where the police executed a planned search. According to the Santa Rosa Police Department, detectives unearthed a cache of drugs, paraphernalia, and cash hidden within the confines of a shared bedroom.

Detectives found around five pounds of suspected methamphetamine, packaging materials, a digital scale, and cash during a morning evidence collection. Disturbingly, two small children, ages 4 and 7, were in the same room, unaware of the danger.

The search expanded to a Rohnert Park location on Allan Way, where another room rented by Beltran-Granados revealed about one pound of suspected cocaine, more packaging materials, and another digital scale.

Beltran-Granados and Santos-Hernandez were arrested and held in Sonoma County Jail on charges of possession of a controlled substance for sale, possession of a narcotic for sale, and felony child endangerment. Their bail is $500,000, highlighting the seriousness of their alleged crimes.
