A tragedy struck the community of Seaford, Delaware, as a 3-year-old child was fatally hit by a vehicle while riding a bicycle. The Delaware State Police has taken up the investigation of the incident that occurred on the evening of August 15.
The crash took place on a small gravel road between North Parkway Road and South Parkway Road, within the confines of Mobile Gardens. A westbound Toyota Tacoma turned onto North Parkway Road, where, according to the Delaware State Police, the vehicle collided with the child who was in the middle of the roadway on their bicycle.
After the accident, family members rushed the young victim to a local hospital, where the child later succumbed to their injuries. The identity of the 3-year-old has not been released, pending notification of relatives. The 56-year-old female driver of the Tacoma, also from Seaford, was reported to have not sustained any injuries in the collision, as per the Delaware State Police.
