
Seattle Police made an arrest in South Seattle on Monday night after responding to a domestic violence threat report. A 34-year-old woman was reportedly threatened with a gun on the 5400 block of South Ryan Street, and the suspect, upon police arrival, attempted to flee the area, according to SPD Blotter.
The high-risk vehicle stop executed led to a 30-year-old man's detainment, in this particular case, the police were able to recover not just a weapon, a Glock pistol 22C, but also an abundant cache of drugs including suspected marijuana, cocaine, crack cocaine, morphine, and OxyContin pills alongside a substantial amount of cash amounting to $8,113 and a ballistic vest, the details were outlined in the SPD Blotter release.
The suspect, who is reportedly a convicted felon, now faces charges for Felony Harassment, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and several counts related to the Possession/Sale/Delivery of Narcotics under the Uniform Controlled Substances Act, as the loaded weapon was accompanied by a 26-round magazine and the narcotics weighed in at hundreds of grams across various substances.
After his arrest, he was booked into King County Jail, his bail set at $50,000 and detectives from the felony Domestic Violence Unit are spearheading further investigations into the case.
