
Seattle Police made multiple arrests last Sunday following a disturbance at a South Lake Union hotel, which resulted in the recovery of four firearms and a stolen vehicle.
The incident occurred on July 28th around 10:58 p.m. on Boren Avenue North, after police were called to deal with reports of trespassing inside the establishment, the Seattle Police Department's blog reported. According to their account, several suspects connected to the hotel were also tied to various criminal activities, including eluding officers in a stolen pickup truck, and upon police arrival, attempts were made by various subjects attempted to flee the scene.
Among the individuals arrested was a 34-year-old who, trying to escape law enforcement, was recognized from a prior investigation. Despite his efforts, he was promptly apprehended and subsequently found to be in possession of a firearm, methamphetamine, and discovered to be a convicted felon. He faces charges ranging from Unlawful Possession of a Firearm to Obstructing a Public Officer. Another arrest included a 49-year-old convicted felon, found armed and subsequently booked for Driving While License Suspended 1st Degree among other charges.
A younger suspect, a 29-year-old validated Deuce-8’s gang member, was apprehended on a $20,000 domestic violence Assault warrant and for the Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle. Also taken into custody was a 25-year-old woman, identified as a member of the 30-Gang, who was arrested for Obstructing a Public Officer after she tried to hide the stolen vehicle keys. All suspects are now housed in King County Jail.
The police were able to recover a total of two additional firearms from the scene. Alongside the firearms, narcotics were seized and are being held as evidence. The SPD's General Investigations Unit has taken up the case, implying that additional charges could follow as their investigation progresses.
