If you're a Seattle dog owner looking to unleash your furry friend, note that Denny Park's off leash area (OLA) will be no-go zone on Wednesday, August 21. According to Parkways Seattle, Seattle Parks and Recreation's Urban Forestry team will be there from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., doing what they do best—tree maintenance.
But it's not just a day of pruning and sawing, the skilled arborists will also take time to educate the public on the what's and how's of keeping Seattle's parks lush and green—so if you've ever wondered about the finer points of tree care in an urban environment, this is your chance.
And while Denny Park's OLA takes a one-day hiatus for the health of its non-canine residents, locals aren't without options for letting their dogs run free; nearby OLAs ready to welcome your pups include Plymouth Pillars OLA at 1050 Pike St, Regrade Park OLA at 2251 3rd Ave, and Kinnear Park OLA at 899 W Olympic Pl.
Should any questions or concerns arise you can bark up Seattle Parks and Recreation's tree by dialing 206-386-1688, they're ready to field your inquiries.
