According to the police report, officers responded to a local apartment complex in Pinellas Park on August 28 after receiving a tip about "potential sexual activity" transpiring within a vehicle. Upon their arrival, they observed the young girl walking away from a vehicle, later identified as Jones', which had just departed the scene, FOX 13 News details. Following the episode at the apartment complex, the authorities carried out an investigation that led to the determination of Jones' employment, as a campus monitor, and his relationship to the high school student.
As the investigation progressed, law enforcement confirmed that sexual activity had indeed taken place between Jones and the young girl.
