Series of Robberies and Assault Strikes Stockton Postal Workers, Suspect at Large, One Arrested for Weapons-Related OffensesSource: Facebook/Stockton Police Department

In a series of unfortunate events that unfolded last night, two postal workers in Stockton were victims of violent robberies. The first incident, which involved a 43-year-old male postal worker, took place at the intersection of Center Street and Mendocino Avenue, in what is referred to as the Civic District, according to the Stockton Police Department's facebook post. The victim was approached by an unidentified male suspect who demanded his belongings under the threat of death. After refusing and enduring a physical assault, the victim acquiesced and handed over his property. The suspect, described as a Black male adult, then made a swift exit to a nearby vehicle and escaped, leaving the worker unharmed.

The night's turbulence continued as another male postal worker, aged 55, was assaulted and robbed at Bonnie Lane and Monterey Avenue, also located within the Civic District. Walking up to the victim, the same suspect from the earlier robbery became entangled in a physical confrontation that culminated in the theft of the victim's possessions. Having to be transported to the hospital, the second victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries, as detailed by the Stockton Police Department's night report.

Later that night, an assault with a deadly weapon was reported on the 500 Block of W Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard in the Seaport District. Two victims, both aged 32, engaged in an argument with the suspect, who subsequently discharged a firearm at their vehicle as they attempted to flee the scene. Despite the shots, no injuries occurred; only the vehicle bore the marks of the altercation. The suspect was once again identified as a Black male adult, as per Stockton Police Department's.

In an adjacent incident related to the shootings on Martin Luther King Boulevard, Dandre Martin, a 31-year-old male, landed into police custody. Officers who were in the area responding to the assault came across Martin, who fled upon their approach. After a brief chase, he was apprehended with the use of force and found to be in possession of a loaded gun, the Stockton Police Department's social media post stated. Charged with weapons-related offenses, Martin's current involvement with the previous events remains under investigation.
