Following an investigation by the Simi Valley Police Department’s Special Enforcement Team (SET), three 16-year-old suspects have been arrested in connection with a series of gang-related graffiti incidents. As reported by the Simi Valley Police Department, these individuals are all Simi Valley residents and are now facing vandalism charges. They were cited and then released to the custody of their parents.
The investigation was in response to a noticeable rise in graffiti that marred the city's public and private property, creating significant damage and concern for locals and business operators. The SET team, which functions within the Special Enforcement Bureau, also focuses on combating various other crimes, such as public lewdness, human trafficking, and narcotics at the street level.
Authorities thanked the community for their ongoing support and stressed the importance of the collaborative efforts that keep the city secure and enjoyable for its residents. The department urges citizens to continue contributing by reporting any suspicious activity, a service that may remain anonymous to protect the tipster's identity.
