
Three men in Summit County, Colorado, have been arrested following an undercover internet operation aimed at dismantling child prostitution. According to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office, Isaiah Rapheal Brown, Andrew James Wright, and Mark Saeyoon Kim were apprehended last week for their alleged intent to engage in sexual acts with minors. The operation, which involved multiple agencies, targeted the rising cybercrime of child exploitation through the Internet.
In a detailed report by Denver7, it was disclosed that the suspects arrived separately, each allegedly believing they would pay for illicit acts with a child. According to Denver7, the arrestees face several charges ranging from solicitation to cybercrimes. Isaiah Rapheal Brown, from unincorporated Breckenridge, was hit with four felonies and a misdemeanor. His litany of charges includes soliciting for child prostitution, attempted patronizing a prostituted child, and cybercrime, alongside an additional misdemeanor charge of attempted contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Andrew James Wright, of Twin Lakes, and Mark Saeyoon Kim, from Denver, face similar grave charges, with both being accused of felonies such as soliciting for child prostitution and attempted sexual assault on a child. KDVR reports Kim additionally faces allegations of internet luring of a child with an attempt to exploit. The collaborations of local authorities with the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, the 5th Judicial District Attorney’s Office, and the Summit County 911 Center were instrumental in the success of this sting operation, as per KDVR coverage.
Following their arrests, the men were transported and booked into the Summit County Detention Facility. The operation showcases ongoing efforts by law enforcement to confront the complex and severe issue of child exploitation in the digital age. Every charge bears the weight of society’s disdain for the alleged crimes.
