Early Monday morning in the Hunting Park neighborhood of North Philadelphia, a vehicle incident left two individuals injured after their SUV lost control and struck a local building. Ambulances rushed to the 100 block of East Hunting Park Avenue following reports of the crash, which occurred around 5:57 a.m. According to NBC10, the vehicle, which ended up resting on its roof against a structure, contained two passengers who sustained injuries.
Chopper footage from the scene captured by ABC's affiliate showed skid marks veering off the road, along with a damaged sign at the front of the affected building. The vehicle, an SUV, had flipped completely over before coming to a stop against the Concilio building. 6abc reported that both persons in the vehicle were in stable condition following the incident.
As of the time of reporting, the extent of structural damage to the building and how the crash might affect Concilio’s operations remained unclear. This was noted by FOX29 who was also among the first on the scene with SKYFOX, their aerial coverage unit. The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Philadelphia police have yet to determine what led to the driver losing control of a vehicle, with details still emerging as they scrutinize the scene.
