In an intriguing blend of education and agriculture, Tacoma's Stadium High School has put a team of goats to work on its campus as part of an eco-friendly effort to manage its overgrown vegetation. A swarm of approximately 50 named goats, including Vincent van Goat and Snowflake, has been brought in by Tacoma Public Schools and are currently clearing brush and weeds with an efficiency that machines can't match, as reported by FOX13 Seattle, these goats are not just furry workers but, they're seen as a novelty by locals who often stop to take pictures and interact with the animals from a distance.

Eric Billings, owner of Evergreen Goat Rentals, expressed his perspective to KING5 News, saying that bringing the goats in was "like bringing a farm to the city," which not only contributes to the school's groundskeeping but also offers a small slice of pastoral life to the urban enclave of Tacoma.

According to KOMO News, aside from their voracious appetite for vegetation, these goats have become somewhat of celebrities among the community, with one goat known as Buster, in particular, catching attention for his friendly disposition even though the goats have varying personalities, they are all united in their task of razing the thick brush that has not been managed in some 10 to 15 years.

As the beginning of the school year looms on September 9, these natural landscapers are on a tight schedule to complete their task. Tacoma Public Schools have requested onlookers to maintain a respectful distance, humorously asking that they stay "baaa-ck" and let the goats concentrate on their munching duties this interaction between the community and the herd adding a layer of charm to the otherwise mundane task of landscape management.
