
The Tampa Police Department is seeking assistance from residents in identifying a suspect involved in an armed robbery that took place early on August 9. Surveillance video of the suspect has been released to the public in the hopes that someone can provide information leading to the suspect's identification and capture.
During the incident, the individual entered the 29th Street Grocery store at 2802 N 29th St., brandished a firearm, and demanded money from the clerk. Fortunately, the situation did not escalate to physical harm for the clerk involved. The video released by authorities shows a suspect sporting a black t-shirt with white lettering over his head, black and gray camouflage shorts, black Nike slides, and a distinctive scar on his abdomen.
The footage, shared by the Tampa Police, captures the suspect fleeing the scene on a bicycle, heading northbound on 29th St. Detectives have widened their net, calling on the community to study the video and come forward with any information that could bring the suspect to justice.
