Tampa residents are shaken up after an armed robbery took place at a local Little Caesars Pizza. The incident at 6932 N Armenia Ave was reported shortly before 7:30 pm last Sunday, according to the Tampa Police Department. As investigators sift through evidence and surveillance footage, they urge anyone with information to step forward.
The suspect, who has yet to be apprehended, entered the establishment and brandished a handgun toward the two employees present. Amid the commotion, the employees managed to flee to safety at the back of the store, thankfully, without sustaining any injuries. Following an unsuccessful attempt to crack open the safe, the perpetrator left empty-handed—departing without cash or property.
Surveillance cameras caught a glimpse of the armed suspect—a white or Hispanic male, standing around 5’8” and weighing approximately 220 pounds, his build notable for what's been described as a "pot belly." For the purpose of concealing his identity, the man wore a multicolored mask. His attire consisted of a dark sweatshirt, distinctively designed jeans, and white tennis shoes. Details about his appearance and the video evidence available have been made public in hopes that someone can identify the individual involved.
In a city that prides itself on community, the troubling events at Little Caesars have rattled the peace. The Tampa Police ask that locals stay vigilant and provide any information they might have about the case. In a time of distress, the unity and cooperation of the community serve as a beacon of hope against such acts of brazen unlawfulness.
