
A teenage suspect has been arrested in connection with a robbery in Northwest Washington, D.C., the Metropolitan Police Department reported. The incident unfolded in the early hours on 11th Street, where the victim was assaulted and robbed. Officers quickly responded to the scene and apprehended one of the individuals involved. According to the official statement released by the MPD, the robbery took place last Saturday at around 2:50 a.m.
The individual in custody, a 16-year-old male from Capitol Heights, MD, faces charges of Robbery (Force and Violence). Despite this development, the case is still active as authorities continue their investigation and urge the community to come forward with any relevant information. In their statement, the authorities advised that "anyone who has knowledge of this incident should take no action but call police at (202) 727-9099" or use the text tip line for potentially anonymous reports.
A reward of up to $1,000 is also offered for details that could lead to further arrests and indictments, a common practice encouraging public assistance in resolving crimes.
