A man has been taken into custody after driving a semi-truck into the front entrance of Emperors Gentleman Club in Tampa, Florida, leaving one person dead and two injured. Tampa Police Department reported to the chaotic scene at the club located at 5718 E. Adamo Drive early Tuesday morning, as detailed by FOX 13 News.

Following the incident, the semi-truck driver was critically injured and is currently hospitalized in stable condition. The violent crash occurred shortly after the driver, whose identity has not been released to the public, was ejected from the club. The victims, according to the police, included bystanders at the entrance where the truck made an impact. Amidst the investigation, Tampa Police Chief Lee Bercaw remarked, "This is an unbelievably tragic and completely avoidable incident," as he mentioned on FOX 13 News.

The Tampa Free Press reports that the driver faces charges as police investigate the tragic event. The busy club saw a quick emergency response as authorities blocked off the area and helped the injured.

While the police have not yet released further information regarding the driver or the origins of this conflict, the severity of the crash has been underscored by Chief Bercaw's repeated public statements. "We will work to get justice for the victims and their families. We are thinking of all those impacted including the innocent bystanders who witnessed this horrific ordeal," Bercaw told Bay News 9. Current reports confirm the death of one man with two others sustaining injuries expected to survive.
