
The Metropolitan Police Department is currently looking into a shooting incident in Northeast Washington that resulted in two fatalities and left two individuals wounded. This violent episode transpired yesterday morning, according to information by MPD's official release.
Patrolling officers, who were positioned near M Street, Northeast around 1:06 a.m., were alerted to the crisis when gunshots shattered the quiet. Their prompt response disclosed a gruesome scene; four gunshot victims were discovered. Despite the fast response of the medical teams, two men succumbed to their injuries on the spot. The victims needing medical attention, a man and a woman, were quickly taken off, receiving non-life-threatening injuries at local hospitals.
The deceased have been identified by authorities as 33-year-old Antonio Williams of Capitol Heights, MD, and 18-year-old Terrell Osbourne Jr. from Northwest. The investigation is still underway as detectives work to piece together the events that led to this tragic occurrence and determine who is responsible for the deadly gunfire.
