As the leaves start turning and the pumpkin spice permeates the air, Universal Orlando is once again drawing in those seeking thrills with more than trick-or-treating on their mind. Halloween Horror Nights is ramping up with an announcement that is sure to send shivers down the spine of horror enthusiasts. "Enter The Blumhouse," a new scare zone packed with iconic characters from the eponymous studio's repertoire, is set to descend upon the park as the latest addition to this ghoulish gathering. It will be one of five new fear zones designed to terrify guests, according to Spectrum News.
Running from Aug. 30 through Nov. 3, the park is leaving no tombstone unturned, enveloping visitors in a world of horror drawn both from the silver screen and the depths of original nightmares. Movie monsters like The Grabber and M3GAN will be unleashed in brilliant and terrifying detail, with the Blumhouse scare zone reportedly situated in the San Francisco area of the park. As detailed by Orlando Weekly, it indicates that alongside this cinematic horror homage, attendees will also be able to immerse themselves in "Duality of Fear" at the entrance scare zone, which pits SINIST3R's visceral horror against SURR3AL's unearthly terror.
The grab bag of horrors doesn't stop with freaky flick fiends. Universal Studios Florida will play host to "Torture Faire" and "Demon Queens," two other zones where medieval brutality and demonic royalty reign supreme. It appears that neither rest nor respite will be found in "Swamp of the Undead," where zombified versions of Louisiana's swamp dwellers aim to overwhelm the living. An article from Spectrum News elucidates that these original themed zones are set to up the ante in terms of frights and theatrics.
Beyond the scare zones, the event promises to deliver a live showcase aptly named "Nightmare Fuel: Nocturnal Circus," featuring a blend of pyrotechnics and aerial acrobatics set to adrenaline-inducing rock music. As park-goers traverse the macabre mazes inspired by hits like A Quiet Place and Ghostbusters, they can also seek solace, albeit briefly, in seasonal food and beverages or enjoying some of the park's high-thrill rides in the eerily enchanting after-dark atmosphere.
