34-year-old Chantay Summer Clifford is accused of walking out with unpaid items from the store and fleeing, once confronted by loss prevention personnel. When Deputy C. Barajas intervened, Clifford had already reached her vehicle in the store’s parking lot where she was approached, and the stolen merchandise, valued at $1,330, was retrieved.

As a result of the theft, Clifford was arrested and booked at the High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto on charges of robbery and grand theft. The Sheriff’s Department is asking anyone with information related to this investigation, to contact the Victorville Police Station or anonymously through the We-Tip hotline or their website.
