Ready to get your vote in early for the State Primary Election in Wright County? Good news! The Wright County Government Center has got you covered this Saturday. According to a recent reminder from the county elections office, voters can drop in from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on August 10th to cast their votes before the official Primary Election day on August 13th.
Not only is early voting available this weekend, but the Government Center will also stay open until 5 p.m. on Monday, August 12, giving voters who can't make it on the weekend another chance to beat the election day rush. However, if you're one of the folks going for an absentee ballot, keep in mind that these need to be returned in person to the Taxpayer Services counter at the Government Center. They'll be accepting your ballots until 8 p.m. on Election Day, which, just to reiterate, is Tuesday, August 13th.
For anyone still navigating the ins and outs of absentee voting or just needing a bit more info, there's help available. You can hit up Tyler Webster, the point person for your questions, by giving a ring to 763-684-2392. This comes as part of an increasing push to make the voting process as smooth as possible for everyone involved.
A critical point to remember for all absentee voters: ballots must be returned by the 8 p.m. cutoff on the 13th. It's a strict deadline—ballots received post 8 p.m. will not be considered valid. So, if you want your vote to count, make sure to get that ballot in on time. Wright County is taking steps to ensure no eligible vote goes uncounted—as long as it's in by the deadline.
